The AICTEH opens 2026 by reinforcing scientific support for The Way of the Holy Grail
Valencia, January 2026. The International Association of Science, Technology, Education and Humanities (AICTEH) officially began its 2026 activities with an institutional ceremony at the Lo Rat Penat headquarters of special relevance, which culminated in the delivery of the certificate accrediting as an Honorary Member of the International Scientific Commission of The Way of the Holy Grail (CCIESG).
The ceremony, held as the culmination of the solemn opening ceremony of the new year, demonstrated the firm commitment of the AICTEH to academic rigor, research excellence and the international projection of European cultural heritage. In this context, the secretary of the Cultural Association The Way of the Holy Grail, Mr. Jesús Gimeno, presented the recognition to Dr. José Hoyo Rodrigo, in recognition of his outstanding and continuous career of collaboration with The Way of the Holy Grail, as well as his decisive contribution to the development and consolidation of this itinerary as a European cultural project of reference.
The International Scientific Commission of the Way of the Holy Grail, created in 2018 by the Cultural Association The Way of the Holy Grail and chaired by Dr. Ana Mafé García, a world expert in the protohistory of the Holy Chalice, is one of the fundamental pillars of the itinerary. Since its creation, the Commission has played a key role in the research, validation and dissemination of the historical, cultural, symbolic and spiritual heritage linked to The Way of the Holy Grail, articulating an international network of experts and academics who actively contribute to the knowledge and enhancement of the territories it crosses, with special emphasis on the Mediterranean area.
The contributions of the members of this Commission have made it possible to strengthen the scientific dimension of The Way of the Holy Grail, promoting interdisciplinary studies, training activities, international conferences and research projects that reinforce its historical legitimacy and its vocation as a European Cultural Route.
In this context, the figure of Dr. José Hoyo Rodrigo stands out in a unique way. His academic career, his institutional leadership and his commitment to interdisciplinary thinking and international cooperation have been decisive in promoting initiatives of high scientific and cultural value, aligned with the principles that inspire The Way of the Holy Grail as a route of knowledge, intercultural dialogue and peace.
The event held at the headquarters of Lo Rat Penat reaffirms the will of the AICTEH and the Cultural Association The Way of the Holy Grail to continue advancing, from knowledge and science, in the protection, research and dissemination of a common heritage that connects history, culture and shared values in the European and Mediterranean space.
